Derek, post #9: Don't be "surprised" at discovering that CCleaner doesn't mop up as much as the cleaner in this Auslogics suite: Piriform, the developer of CCleaner, has a reputation for being conservative in all its software, and because of that originally attracted many thousands of users to it in the days when scareware was much more common than it is now (scareware: so-called cleaners and optimizers that find hundreds of things "wrong" with a computer so as to scare folks into buying / using 'em because they must be good to have found so much.)Īuslogics isn't and never has been into scareware so all that's happening here is that it feels a slightly less conservative approach is feasible without compromising safety.
